Our Mission

Roughly one in four candidates fails the IHK final exam for IT specialists. It doesn't have to be this way. With targeted, exam-focused preparation, pass rates can be dramatically improved — and that's exactly what we do.

abschluss.jetzt makes exam preparation accessible to everyone: apprentices, career changers, external candidates, and international professionals. Our programme is run by volunteers, organised as a non-profit, and free of charge for participants.

Non-Profit

gUG — Non-Profit Limited Company

abschluss.jetzt is being established as a gUG (haftungsbeschränkt) — the non-profit variant of a German GmbH (limited liability company). This means:

✓ No profit distribution — all surpluses go towards the charitable purpose
✓ Tax-deductible donation receipts for supporters (after incorporation)
✓ Statutory purpose: Vocational education in IT
✓ Transparent and accountable

Per Successful Candidate

A failed exam costs €29,000–36,500 (welfare, retake costs, lost taxes). Our preparation: €1,800–3,600.

Open Source

Open Materials

Learning materials under Creative Commons, open-source platform, self-hosted infrastructure on German servers.

Integration

International Professionals

Our sequential model (language course → exam preparation) provides international IT professionals with a fast track to the IHK certification.

The Team

abschluss.jetzt is led by Bodo Eichstädt — software developer, IT trainer, and founder of the initiative. He is supported by a growing network of volunteer instructors, mentors, and learning-material authors.
