AP2 — The Specialization Exam
This is where it gets serious: Written specialization exam, project work with documentation, presentation and expert discussion. Together 80% of your grade.
The Three Components
1. Written Exam
30% of total gradeTwo exam areas per specialization (90 min. each) plus Business & Social Studies (60 min.). Written, with open and multiple-choice questions.
2. Practical Project Work
50% of AP2 gradeExecute a real project at your company, document it and present the results. FIAE: max. 80 hours, FISI: max. 40 hours. Includes project proposal, documentation (10-15 pages), presentation (15 min.) and expert discussion (15 min.).

10% of total grade60 minutes. Labor law, social insurance, collective agreements, data protection, environmental regulations, vocational training law. Identical across all specializations.
FIAE — Application Development
The written AP2 for application developers focuses on software design and programming:
